Small-group fantasy hiking adventures

Hike the trail.
Live the tale.

Pick a character, lace up your boots, and step through the Never Door. Our guides lead real hikes through real wilderness, and a story unfolds along the way with you as one of its heroes.

How an adventure works

  1. I

    Choose your character

Before the hike, you pick a hero, such as a ranger, a hedge-witch, a disgraced knight, or a bard with a secret. No acting experience needed. Play it as big or as quiet as you like.

  2. II

    Step through the door

At the trailhead, your guide becomes your storyteller. The forest becomes an enchanted wood, the ridge becomes a dragon's spine, and the lake becomes a place of old promises.

  3. III

Shape the story as you walk

Along the trail you'll meet characters, solve riddles, and make choices that change the ending. Every group's tale turns out differently.

  4. IV

    Return with a legend

You finish at camp or back at the trailhead with sore legs, new friends, and a story you helped write.

Small parties

Groups stay small so everyone gets a turn in the spotlight and the trail never feels crowded.

Real hiking

These are real routes with trained guides, safety gear, and a pace that suits your group.

Stories built for the trail

Each quest is written for its route, so the story's turns land at the waterfalls, summits, and hidden glades.

Quests

Three kinds of journey, from a gentle afternoon walk to a trek that lasts several days.

Half day · Easy

The Wandering Lantern

A lantern-lit walk to find a lost spirit before sunset. It's a good first quest for families and newcomers.

Full day · Moderate

The Crown Beneath the Ridge

Rival factions, an old map, and a summit climb to reach the crown before anyone else does.

Overnight · Challenging

The Long Night of Emberfall

Two days, one campfire council, and a choice at dawn that decides the fate of the realm.

Dates, routes, and pricing will be announced soon. Join the party list to hear first.

Questions from the tavern

Do I need to know anything about roleplaying or fantasy games?

Not at all. Your guide handles the story and helps you along. If you've read a fantasy book or watched a fantasy film, you're more than ready.

How fit do I need to be?

Every quest lists its distance, elevation gain, and difficulty. Our easy quests suit most people who can walk a few miles on uneven ground.

Do I need a costume?

Costumes are welcome but optional. Proper hiking gear matters more. We'll send you a packing list, and we bring a few props for the party.

Can I book a private adventure for my group?

Yes. Private quests are great for birthdays, team outings, and friend groups. Send us a message and we'll plan one with you.

How big are the groups?

Small enough that everyone gets a real role in the story. We cap parties so it never turns into a tour bus.
